One night, Cleo, our black boss cat, had a mission: a can of tuna. First she tried pure willpower — staring the can down for a solid twenty minutes, but it stubbornly refused to open itself. Next she rolled it off the table, hoping the impact might crack it. It didn't, but the noise did wake up her staff. In the end, Cleo simply sat in front of the kitchen and meowed so heartbreakingly that a can opener appeared all on its own — in the hand of her bleary-eyed human.
